Spreading the word

Principles Event 2009

We held our second Principles into Practice learning event on March 10th 2009 at the Scottish Youth Theatre, Brunswick Street, Glasgow. The event provided a showcase for best practice in applying the principles of Scottish mental health law.  

The event featured workshop and presentations from Principles into Practice Award winners on topics that included:

  • providing high quality information for service users

  • carer involvement and support

  • innovative and flexible responses to meeting individual needs of service users
  • respecting diversity in mental health services

  • addressing the specific needs of children and young people who use mental health services
