Emotional Touch Points - word cards

You can laminate and cut up the "touchpoints" and emotion cards  i.e. eating here,sleeping here, speaking with doctors, The staff member/patient/relative can then pick the issues that are meaningful to them and the  cards which match the emotions which are associated with this issue without having to speak initially. A discussion can then be generated from this. The story can then be used to change things to improve the patient/staff/relative experience, contribute to ward rounds or reviews or simply share so everyone knows how the person is feeling and what affects them on the ward.
